How do you make an octopus cupcake look neat and not messy?

A close look at the dessert.

A neat octopus cupcake starts with a smooth, even frosting base so the candy octopus has a clean surface to sit on. Make sure the frosting is slightly firm so the candy doesn’t sink or slide. And the real game‑changer: chill the cupcakes for 5–10 minutes before adding final details. Firm frosting holds the candy in place and keeps the whole design crisp, tidy, and super cute.
