How to Make Grape Flavored Cake

STEP 1: PREP

STEP 2: MIX

Add cake mix to a large mixing bowl. Using a hand or stand mixer, add in your oil, egg whites, and soda, and mix on medium speed until well incorporated. Mix in 1/2-3/4 of the jello. (Please note we added a few drops of purple food coloring because weirdly, the jello made the batter turn grey.)

Step 3: BAKE

Add batter into the muffin tin until each is about 2/3 full. Then, bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

STEP 3: FROSTING FOR CUTE CUPCAKES

Next,  in a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the butter and beat until light and fluffy. Then, mix in the vanilla extract, salt and jello. Blend the half and half, or milk, and grape soda together. Slowly add powdered sugar and the liquid mixture until creamy.
