What do I need to make an apple bundt cake?
To make this apple bundt cake you will need a boxed spice cake mix, the ingredients to prepare that as directed on the box, some cinnamon, vanilla, applesauce, apples, and chopped pecans.
If you don’t like pecans you can use another kind of nut. Walnuts are another good choice for baking and you can pair them with whichever type of apple you like most.
Any type of apple will do, even the ones that are growing in like crazy on the apple trees in your backyard this time of year!
Since this is a bundt cake recipe you’ll need a bundt pan. I like this plain one and I also adore the finished look on the fancier style like this one. If you like using silicone molds you can use one like this as well.
Kitchen Essentials for Cakes:
If you are trying to pick out some of the best supplies to stock your kitchen for cake mix recipes and baking in general, these are some of our favorites and must have items.
I like half sheet baking pans that are quality (hello no noisy pops or sloshed cookie dough from twisting), I line my cookie sheets with silicone baking mats. These are a must when doing cake mix recipes which can settle and become thin at lot easier than traditional cookie dough.
Of course mixing bowls, a mixer, spatula, and some whisks should be on your list if you don’t have ones that you love. I also like to have a set of cooling racks so that my recipes can properly cool before they’re scarfed down by my family!
