Funfetti box cake has always been my go to cake for any occasion. There’s something about the combination of classic vanilla cake and fun rainbow sprinkles that shouts CELEBRATE!
There’s so much more to funfetti than cake. Get Creative: A lot of funfetti recipes include A TON of sprinkles to get that festive, colorful look. The good news is, there are so many different kinds of sprinkles out there! Use the ones you like best, or multiple kinds to make the funfetti treat your own!
Cake Pops: Putting too much icing on will make the soft, making it slide more on the stick. To avoid this, don’t use too much icing and refrigerate the batter for a few hours before rolling the balls. This will help keep the form and keep the cake pop in place on the stick.
Cake Pops (Pt. 2): If you happen to have leftover cake or frosted cupcakes, you can make cake pops out of them! Throw your cake or cupcakes, frosting and all, into a bowl and mix it up until the frosting and cake are combined. From there, add your sticks and decorate however you want!
Baking with Sprinkles: Do NOT use nonpareil sprinkles inside your batter before baking. If you don’t know, nonpareil sprinkles are the tiny round ball sprinkles that are typically found on top of Snowcaps. These sprinkles will bleed into the batter and leave you with streaks of color and could even end up with muddy colored batter instead of the colorful festive rainbow you wanted.
