- 20 Maraschino cherries, can cut up or leave whole
- ¼ cup red sugar crystals, optional

- Preheat oven to 350F
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
- Combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs and oil together until completely combined.
- Portion the dough into 1-Tablespoon sized scoops.
- Flatten each scoop and place a cherry in the center. Wrap the cookie dough around the cherry so that it is completely enclosed.
