First, preheat the oven and line baking sheets with parchment paper or use silicone baking mats. Then, in a large bowl combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs and oil together until completely combined.

Next, using a cookie scoop, scoop out the dough, place a cherry in the center and shape dough around the cherry. Then, place the sugar crystals in a small bowl and dip the cookie ball into the sugar crystals. Place the cookie dough balls on a prepared baking sheet. Bake cookies for eight to ten minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup oil
  • 20 Maraschino cherries, can cut up or leave whole
  • ¼ cup red sugar crystals, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F
