Best Grape Soda Cupcakes

INGREDIENTS

Cupcake Ingredients: white cake mix vegetable oil egg whites grape soda grape Jello grape food coloring Frosting Ingredients: salted butter vanilla extract salt powdered sugar grape soda half and half or whole milk grape Jello grape food coloring paper straws ▢ purple sanding sugar

STEP 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray or line a standard muffin tin.

STEP 2

Add cake mix to a large mixing bowl.

STEP 3

Using a hand or stand mixer, add in your oil, egg whites, and soda, and mix on medium until well incorporated. Mix in *1/2-3/4 of the jello.

STEP 4

Add batter into the muffin tin. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

STEP 5

In a large mixing bowl, using an electric hand or stand mixer, cream the butter and beat until light and fluffy

STEP 6

 Mix in the vanilla extract and salt. Mix in the remaining jello.

STEP 7

Mix the half and half or milk and grape soda together.

STEP 8

Slowly mix in the powdered sugar, while adding a bit of the liquid mixture from Step 7 in between each cup. Continue to mix  until creamy and forms stiff peaks

STEP 9

Add in food coloring if desired. Start with 1-2 drops and mix. Continue until color is achieved. Prepare piping bag and fill bag with frosting.

STEP 10

Frost your cupcakes. Add your purple sanding sugar and straw if desired.

STEP 11

Serve and enjoy!
