Place oil and all seasonings in a large zip-top bag.
Close the bag and use your hands to squish together all of the ingredients to combine.
Open the bag and add in the saltine crackers. (You may need to do this in two batches.)
Close the bag and shake to coat the saltines in the seasoning mixture.
Allow the saltines to sit out overnight to absorb the seasoning.
Preheat oven to 250F.
Line a baking sheet with tinfoil and spread the flavored crackers out on the lined baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes until the crackers are fully dry and set.
Notes
• Balance the heat: Crushed red pepper flakes are classic, but you can dial it up with cayenne or tone it down with smoked paprika. For layered flavor, add a pinch of onion powder and dried dill. • Ranch mix matters: Use a high-quality ranch seasoning or make your own with dried parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, and buttermilk powder for a cleaner taste. • Oil infusion: Canola or vegetable oil works best—it’s neutral and helps the seasoning cling. Avoid olive oil, which can overpower the spice blend.Party-ready: Serve with pimento cheese, smoked sausage slices, or creamy dips for a Southern-style snack board.
